Service Update: Transition to NGINX Stream Configuration, Replacing SSLH
We are excited to announce an improvement to our service configuration with the removal of sslh in favor of an NGINX stream configuration. This update optimizes traffic management across HTTP/HTTPS and XMPP protocols, enhancing our ability to provide seamless connectivity over port 443.
Key Details of the Update:
Simplified Traffic Handling: By moving to the NGINX stream module, we can now handle ALPN-based routing directly within NGINX, reducing complexity and enhancing performance.
Direct TLS Support for XMPP: XMPP over TLS traffic will continue to be supported over port 443, ensuring secure access without the need for additional layers of software.
Unified IPv4 and IPv6 Support: The NGINX stream configuration is fully compatible with both IPv4 and IPv6, addressing past challenges we encountered with transparent proxy configurations.
We believe this change will improve the stability and efficiency of our service. We appreciate your continued trust as we work to enhance your experience. Thank you for being part of our community!
